Charming Escape - 5 (UNEDITED DRAFT)
She lay on her side and crossed her ankles, then uncrossed her ankles. She frowned and bent her leg then straightened both of them. She started when the bathroom door opened.
The handsome man paused at the entrance separating the two spaces and leaned on the framed opening looking at her.
She combed her fingers through her hair and they got tangled in the coils. She found laughing dark brown eyes to accompany a smirk on the man’s face.
Damn, she thought. Awkward should have been her middle name.
She set up to a kneeling position on the bed and palmed her forehead. “I-I’m sorry. I’m just not a sexy person. I’m not--” She broke off when he grabbed her by the nape of her neck and coaxed her to him by shuffling on her knees. His other hand snaked around her waist. Her eyes closed when he angled her face up toward hers. The heated liquid in her stomach sloshed around lapping on the sides of her gut like a volcano readying to bubble over.
Her eyelashes fluttered open when it took too long for his lips to find hers.
He pressed a finger over her lips then traced the bottom one with his pointer. He licked his lips, his gaze focused on her mouth before he bit his bottom lip as if he were holding back some proprietary information. “Your own brand of charm is sexy.”
Her eyebrows pulled together.
He chuckled then smoothed out her brows with his thumb. “Physically, you’re just the perfect temptation.” He said, leaning back enough to scan her partial nudity. “I like the way you look at me. The way your breath catches. The way your nipples press against your pretty bra.”
She gasped when he brushed a thumb over the straining flesh. She moaned when his hand slid around to the small of her back pulled her flush against him. She stroked up his arms and wrapped them around his neck while his palms cupped her butt cheeks. She exhaled into his kiss slow, teasing, and intentional.
That’s what she observed, that he made everyone feel seen. When he was engaged in a conversation with someone, even in groups, she could see the moment that the person decided they liked him and often it was after he made them feel seen.
Was he working her? That was always her question and until that moment she cared deeply about the answer. Would he know if he was or not?
He pulled away and rested his forehead on hers. “Frasia?”
“Hmm?” She responded, her mind drawn to his clever hand that slid into her panties.
“I’m going to need you to stop thinking about anything else.”
“I’m not--” She broke off with a soft moan when his fingers slid between her lower lips.
“Don’t lie to me, Frasia.” His whispered in her ear before nibbling the lobe. The sensation was enough to make a shiver passed through her body. He moaned in her ear forcing tingles to shoot up through her brain. “You want me?” It was sort of framed in a question, but his fingers were slipping over her clit moist from her arousal it was probably an arrogant acknowledgment of her attraction to him.
For some reason of their own accord one of her hands grazed down his chest and over the front of his pants. She wanted to know if--
She looked up into his eyes noticing that he’d stood to his full height at the edge of the bed and was gazing down at her like he was a hungry wolf.
She hooked her thumbs in his briefs and looked up at him again seeing the wolfish grin marring his handsome features. She didn’t need a verbal confirmation his eyes said it all so she pulled the underwear over his hips freeing his penis.
She grabbed him and examined the thickening organ, dark and smooth just like the rest of his lean body.
The still quiet of a silent mind is what roused her from her state of deep slumber.
It was a strange phenomenon for her as she was used to her own mind racing this theories, ideas, solutions, more questions, even full length books she had yet to get down on paper.
Before she opened her eyes she knew she was alone. She stretch under the soft covers and set up. One eye was mostly open while the other one was still contemplating the idea. She brushed her massive puff of curls out of her face with one arm and looked around. The stark white walls were bouncing the morning sun around filling the over-sized room with ambient light. There was a large piece of art on the wall above a white couch across from the bed. She cocked her head to the side having noticed the piece the day before. Then again she was focused on a wildly different piece of art.
She smiled down at the covers teasing her fingers through her hair at the memory.
“I’m surprised you’re awake-- what?
Her handsome companion broke into a breathtaking smile when she looked up at him.
“What are you smilin’ about?”
She cleared her throat and leaned back on her arms. “I’m surprised to see you here. Booked up dawn ‘til dusk your admin said.”
“Oh, I took the day off,”
“You can do that?”
He laughed handing her a mug. “I don’t make a habit of it , but when you’re the boss you can take time.” He perched on the bed angled toward her. “Green tea plain steeped for two minutes and forty-five seconds not a moment more.”
“Thank you.” She smiled keeping her gaze on him even as she brought the mug to her lips. His smooth deep brown skin stood out in contrast to the bright white room.
“There’s this really beautiful beach in Malibu,” he said breaking her thoughts. “I want to take you there but before that--” He took her mug and set it on the nightstand next to his, looped his arm under her propped up leg to grab her waist and pulled her to lay on the pillows with a squeal.
